RUconnected and multi-media: Keeping students on-line

This blog looks at attempts to keep students engaged with RUconnected (Moodle) through the use of multi-media-rich Power Point presentations. I also explore the possibilities for the development of RUconnected as a blogger sphere.

Submitted by paul on Tue, 02/03/2009 - 11:13.While it is revealing to situate communitarianism in its global and historic context, and I’ll briefly look at these contexts, the focus of this blog is on African communitarianism, specifically that subsumed under the title ‘ubuntu’. I do this as a methodological abstraction, to bring into play a constructivist tactic in the influence of communitarianism’s specific instance in especially Southern Africa.

Submitted by paul on Fri, 04/25/2008 - 08:24.Given the subject matter of journalistic television social documentary I teach, and the pedagogic interventions I make, I would prefer to present this more as a story, which includes analysis in its storyline, than to attempt some kind of meta- pedagogic reflection on an experiment, born frankly, more out of desperation than any other factor.
